Radio Tamazuj is unsurprisingly at its malicious worst again. It published, on Sunday, maps purportedly showing ethnic imbalance once the rebel's 21  or the government's 28 states come into effect.

The Editor of Tamazuj seems uneducated about South Sudan for the following reasons:

  1. It is a known fact that Jieng and Nuer are the majority (numerically) in South Sudan. Therefore, this notion that there is an "ethnic balance" that will be altered by creation of 21 or 28 states is a figment.
  2. The Editor claims that parts of Rubkhona in Western Upper Nile (aka Unity State) and Uror in Jonglei will be annexed to Jieng are maliciously misinformed. If the Editor had bothered to check the 1956 colonial maps. She (I won't name her), but she would have clearly noticed that the map which they used (created by office of then VP Riek) is erroneous. It altered borders - in fact in Tamazuj's map which is based on Riek's map - the Jieng of Duk County have no border with Pibor! That is just insane. The same thing applies for Jieng of Ruweng, Riek's map which is also used by Tamazuj disconnected Jieng of Ruweng and Abiemnhom. It is just unfathomable! Jieng of Ruweng in presnt day Parieng County are not an enclave, their lands are contiguous with Abiemnhom.
  3. What tribe is Equatorian? Is it an homogeneous group of people? Does it have tribes some of which might be the third largest after Jieng and Nuer? Why does the analysis focus on just two tribes and not on all the tribes of South Sudan?

Radio Tamazuj needs to tone down their overtly tribal agenda where they are consistently taking tribal lines in South Sudan. They are not helping us to improve but helping us to destroy and hate each other.

  1. The map that Dr. Riek and his factions used is fraudulent to say the least. The map that is showing 21 state is categorically false and an international land envy.
